What We Do

Nice CEA provides state-of-the-art enterprise level analytics for all forms of business communications including speech, chat, email, and general text. We have a world class research team developing new algorithms and approaches to help companies with solving critical issues such as identifying their best performing agents, prevent fraud, categorizing customer issues, and determining overall customer satisfaction. If you have interacted with a major contact center in the last decade, it is very likely we have processed your call.

Job Description

The Nexidia Workbench team provides the core engine for many of the key applications in Nice CEA. Our team is very dynamic and given wide latitude in choosing our own tools and internal processes. We take the raw research code, and turn it into a high-performance, scalable, and robust engine/library. We are looking for a software engineer to help us create an entirely new backend system to support our growing cloud based & enterprise deployments. This new backend server will allow us to provide algorithms developed in virtually any programming language in a single integrated interface. While our existing code base is primarily C++ and java, many of our latest research initiatives are being developed in Python, but are not initially designed with scale or maintainability in mind. The Python code needs to be refactored into a form suitable for use by our front end users. Engine requirements include stability under load, scalability for enterprise deployments, high performance, and easily deployed & maintained by field engineers.

Responsibilities
• Creation of new python application(s) to serve as the backend for our enterprise applications.
• Refactoring of research python code to meet industry best practices and delivery requirements
• Maintain, debug, and document this new system through its lifecycle.
• Work with our researchers to improve our existing python code, both in performance and stability.
