The Prologis Property Technologies team is responsible for design, implementation, and operations of all Prologis technology systems at Prologis warehouse properties. This includes IOT, networking, automation, building management and other IT and OT systems. We leverage cutting edge cloud, server-less streaming and compute services, innovative, industrial scale IOT devices, and advanced data, analytics, and operations toolsets.
The PropTech Cloud group is looking for a qualified team member to assist in the following:
Development

  • AWS server-less development of IOT data processing and enrichment solutions including:
    • Python Lambda processing of advanced JSON structured messages.
    • SNS, Kinesis and other AWS server-less data processing/streaming component development.
    • Advanced JSON manipulation and SQL queries including storage and processing in AWS S3 and Postgres based timeseries databases.
    • AWS Step function coding for determination of business meaningful state, events, alarms and alerts.
    • AWS AppSync development and management of GraphQL APIs.
    • Data loading to Snowflake data warehouse via Snowpipe.


Operations

  • Design VPCs for best practices and Prologis standards, migrate existing solutions to updated/new VPCs as required.
  • Design VPC peering between core VPC and partner VPCs in accordance with best practices and Prologis standards, migrate existing solutions as required.
  • Refactor existing deployment scripts to comply with best practices and Prologis standards. Migrate existing SAM & CloudFormation scripts to Terraform & Azure standards.
  • Refactor existing logging for best practices and Prologis security and operations standards.
  • Configure metrics and monitoring to best practices and Prologis standards.
  • Review Continuous Integration and Continuous deployment best practices and tooling with peers and design, develop and deploy solutions as appropriate.


Tell us if you're ready.

  • Proficient in event driven data movement and enrichment utilizing various tools such as AWS Lambda Functions (Python), AWS Step Functions, AWS SNS, AWS SQS.
  • Proficient in scripting languages of Python and PowerShell and the ability to debug code that was developed by others.
  • Proficient with structured query language and possess the ability to understand and create SQL statements that are complex in nature with multiple joins, nested subqueries, window functions including advanced JSON payload manipulation.
  • 2 + years of experience in popular cloud offerings such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in solution development around streaming data and other data manipulation.
  • Working knowledge relating to technology, integration, user requirement definitions, analysis, and implementation.
  • Technical leader that can drive discussions with both business and technical teams.
  • Working knowledge of relevant technology market trends.
  • Working knowledge of agile development process.
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Able to work remotely.
  • Bachelor's degree desired.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.


Hiring Salary Range of: $110,000-$135,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
