The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.
As a Project Engineer, you will:• Lead the long-term technical planning and coordination for System Performance and Modeling & Simulation teams• Lead the Agile business rhythm for multiple product teams comprised of various functional disciplines as the Control Account Manager• Provide guidance and support to critical subcontracted efforts and associated team members• Shepherd the program through design reviews to include SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, MRR and others• Help develop timely resolution plans of issues and ensure the validity of designs, compliance evidence, and all associated documentation
Successful candidate typically has 14+ years of professional work experience and a bachelors degree from an accredited college.

Basic Qualifications:• Demonstrated technical depth and breadth related to development, including authoritative level technical depth in at least one engineering subject area and experience in adjacent technical fields• Program/Project Management and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience with the ability to articulate complex technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, management and customers• Interim Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:• Experience in all phases of development life cycle for missile and/or launch vehicle programs and supporting production of missile, launch vehicle, spacecraft or aircraft hardware • Significant experience with Agile development of hardware, software, and or firmware using Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar• Experience using JIRA or Version 1 or similar tools for project planning and tracking• Familiarity with configuration control and quality control tools and systems (e.g. EPDM, Q-notes, VRICs) • Experience in working closely with major subcontractors through all phases of the engineering lifecycle• Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following relevant subject areas: Propulsion, Ordnance, Mechanical Structures, Avionics Electronics, Navigation, Guidance & Control, Missile Performance, 6DOF simulation, Flight Software, System Integration, System Test• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
