Smartronix is looking for an experienced Programmer/Software Developer to support the development of network-related data analytics utilizing the Apache Spark framework on large datasets (over 1TB).

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform development, testing, and publication of analytic applications for deployment onto customer systems.
• Test, revise, and refine analytic applications to minimize false positives and prove working solutions to specification.
• Interact with analyst to clarify requirements, train end users, and document all processes and procedures.
• Conduct code reviews, develop pseudocode, produce user manuals, and conduct analyst training.
• Build analytic applications based upon Cyber Threat Intelligence requirements and utilize sandboxed Linux environments to build and test newly developed applications.
• Design, build, enhance and maintain the advanced analytic applications and algorithms.
• Enhance existing software by deriving algorithms, adding new capabilities, increasing performance, and improving usability.
• Translate customer requirements into software design documents.
• Develop unit and functional tests to satisfy Quality Assurance Test.
• Innovate and present Course of Action (COA) options in response to Software Change Requests.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Clearance Required: TS/SCI
• Experience in Apache Spark framework, Apache Maven, and GitLab.
• Hands on knowledge of Python and/or Scala and/or Java, and/or Linux Shell Scripting.
• Experience with the MITRE ATT&CK matrix or other threat framework.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, large-team environment.

Desired Experience:

• Experienced in software development using the Agile methodology and Scrum framework in a DevOps environment.
• Experienced with big data platforms
