Location: For this role we are open to remote work located anywhere within the United States or Canada.

Only candidates with Dayforce HCM experience will be considered.

About the opportunity
As a Principal Solutions Architect, you'll provide expert guidance and oversight to team members and customers to help enhance day to day services, including triaging and troubleshooting application issues, and applying configurations that follow best practices. You'll design solutions and provide technical consulting to clients, implementation managers and consultants on highly complex, often global, requirements analysis, architecture, system design, systems integrations and implementations.

What you'll get to do

  • Provide expert level technical consultations and analyses, solving complex problems
  • Organize, attend, and lead hands-on sessions with project stakeholders to review solution analysis and design
  • Create new knowledge base articles and refines existing content based on insights uncovered through call driver analysis and opportunities brought up by Customer Support teams, as well as play a part in the improvement of our application by reproduce and meticulously documenting software defects
  • Drive continuous improvement in product, processes and tools; developing and implementing new or enhanced technical methods and techniques to improve the consulting practice
  • Works with Product Management and Development teams to provide customer feedback and help influence the direction of product roadmap initiatives and product management processes
  • Works with other Solution Architects to ensure knowledge sharing across consulting practice and ensure consistent problem-solving approaches are developed
  • Provides mentoring and peer coaching including hands-on Peer code reviews (PRs)
  • Represents Ceridian at conferences and industry forums as an expert in the solution and technology as requested by product management, marketing or sales - presenting an "on the ground" view of the capability and benefits of the product



Skills and experience we value

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of software industry consulting experience
  • Experience as a Solution Architect or similar role
  • Practical knowledge to proactively assess the technical, cost, support, and risk implications of potential solutions; and incorporate these into implementation recommendations
  • Experience in cost analysis and capacity modeling and sizing for the cloud related services provided by Azure, Confluent Cloud etc.
  • Deep business acumen and thought leadership experience
  • An ability to gain trust, influence decisions, and teams, and work with internal and external contributors and stakeholders at any level.
  • Experience partnering with sales teams and can skillfully lead engagements, presentations, and help support negotiations.
  • An understanding of how to manage client expectations, navigate tough discussions and manage escalations
  • An ability to effectively manage solution designs within scope and recognize needs for change requests where required.
  • An ability to recommend additional modules, products or services to enhance client productivity and return on investment in Dayforce.
  • Experience with enterprise and global implementations



What would make you really stand out

  • Expert level experience in designing and building of web and mobile-based applications architectures, solution architecture, design principles, and Messaging products.
  • Expert level experience in triage and troubleshooting of the performance issues of critical applications and systems.
  • Technical knowledge of SQL, XML, XSLT, and Azure
  • Expert understanding of programming, HTML and Microsoft Server Technology
  • Proven knowledge of Human Capital solutions (Payroll, HR, Workforce Management, Talent Management) and related systems
