OVERVIEW:

The Cloud Operations team at SumTotal Systems offers comprehensive-hosting services that allow extended enterprises to successfully deploy SumTotal applications with minimal IT infrastructure and resources. Through our dedicated application hosting services, our customers receive worldwide access to SumTotal learning applications.

As a Principal Network Engineer with SumTotal's Cloud Operations team, you will lead managing a production network infrastructure in support of SumTotal's SaaS applications. In this 24/7 critical uptime environment, you will join a team focused on uptime and excellence. OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

• Design and develop integration strategies for networks, systems, and processes
• Provide support of existing networks and network devices including routers, switches, Cisco ACI components, load balancers, firewalls, remote access VPN's, and wide-area ISP services
• Troubleshoot WAN/LAN and CDN issues relating to latency and connectivity
• Contribute to the maintenance and achievement of various Security & Compliance accreditations
• Provide analysis, trending, and capacity/usage reporting for networking
• Create and maintain appropriate technical documentation and configurations
• Participate in projects, work collaboratively with project managers, customers, and team members
• Ensure 24/7 uptime for all critical network infrastructure and services
• Manage firewalls and application load balancers in support of a portfolio of SaaS applications
• Coordinate IPS/WAF related activities with the Security team
• Support application SME's with load balancer and CDN configurations
• Inventory and documentation of all networking systems and configurations
• Coach/Mentor more junior network staff

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstratable enterprise-level network engineering expertise
• Experience working in a production 24/7 environment
• The ability and desire to secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and best practices
• Understanding of how to conduct and analyze TCP packet captures
• Expert knowledge of network devices (routers, switches, firewall, load balancers, VPN, etc.)
• Prior work experience with an Internet or Cloud service provider or similar is preferred
• DevOps experience automating configurations of network devices is a plus
• Cisco ACI or other SDN experience is a must

Education, Training and Minimum Qualifications:

• 16+ years of relevant experience in job specific skills
• CCIE or similar certifications and aptitude
• Experience working in a 24 x 7 environment
