Platform Engineering Manager( Remote Eligible)
Do you enjoy solving technical issues, empathize with customer user experiences and want to lead a team within the Modern Desktop Workspace arena? Our organization is obsessed with providing our associates a world class user experience on the desktop. We are looking for a Platform Engineering Manager that will manage a team of talented software engineering and support teams to deliver a modern management approach for all Windows based desktops across our enterprise. We have a dynamic, fast paced environment that requires collaboration with many technical teams to achieve world class solutions. We are all-in on the cloud and you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

This role will require integrity, empathy, and out of the box problem solving skills in order to successfully lead engineers, plan strategic projects and ensure all of our platforms remain secure. The primary responsibilities will be for directly managing Sr level engineers on the Desktop Engineering team and architecting the strategic direction of cloud platforms that support our mission to secure all endpoints while providing a world class user experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in the IT field
  • At least 5 years of experience leading a technical team
  • At least 5 years of experience managing technical platforms: (Intune, SCCM and Windows Administration)
  • At least 2 years of experience with documenting technical processes and architecture writeups
  • At least 1 year of experience with scripting languages


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Understanding of Agile/Lean, Design Thinking
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure or AWS cloud administration
  • 1+ years of experience in Systems Engineering and Automation
  • 1+ years of experience with Vulnerability Management
  • 1+ years of experience with Github, Restful APIs, and real time reporting systems
