The Platform Engineer on the Enterprise Batch team is responsible for the installation, administration, configuration, maintenance, and support of Autosys, WCC, and EEM. The Platform Engineer works closely with application support teams and infrastructure support teams and provides miscellaneous support for users, the batch scheduling team members, and the Technology organization. You will be responsible to maintain optimum performance and provide all levels of support, including 24x7 on-call coverage and escalation. The ideal candidate will have a have excellent knowledge in handling Infrastructure and batch related issues, and have a continuous improvement mindset to propose, evaluate, and implement system, operational, and process enhancements including automation opportunities where possible.
• Work closely with project teams to deploy new solutions for proof-of-concept efforts• Independently design, assemble, configure, install, maintain and tune complex infrastructure components• Develop integrated system designs and specifications• Develop, package, test, document and implement quality infrastructure on a variety of platforms (Linux, Windows, etc.)• Debug and correct complex internal and external infrastructure problems• Document step-by-step procedures and system configuration for use in ongoing support and future efforts that require modifications or upgrades to the infrastructure
