Responsibilities:

As a part of the Quality Engineering Team, “Performance Test Engineer” will focus on creating, automating and maintaining Performance/stress, Scalability and Reliability test scenarios using JMeter/LoadGen/CallGen (home grown tool set). One will execute the tests on a scheduled basis using orchestration infrastructure to ensure baseline and newer code changes do not result in product degradation. 

* Work in an Agile environment, develop new tools and maintain/re-engineer existing scripts

* Build and deliver meaningful testing, provide analytical assessments on usability, isolate blockers, identify bottlenecks/breakdown points in the system and enable operational capabilities

* Interpret business requirements and high level designs to detailed scenarios and build/maintain environments accordingly

* Actively collaborate with product management, development and architecture teams in improving the product quality and performance

* Execute, analyze performance runs from multiple dimensions of Network, DB, Application Servers and components in a K8S CI/CD environment

Qualifications:

* 5+ years of extensive experience with performance, reliability and scalability testing in enterprise * Java apps that use relational DB structures and App servers in a microservices K8 environment

* Experience with scripting, JMeter, LoadRunner performance test automation

* Experience in profiling transaction and query flows, debugging distributed applications/servers on Windows, Unix operating systems

* Outstanding grasp of performance testing subsystems, networking subsystems, security and storage technologies

* Experience in conducting and interpreting performance/stress volumes (27000 calls to be processed by a server) to pinpoint bottleneck in the system

* Strong follow-through and initiative to stay with issues until they are resolved, along with discipline and tenacity to meet deadlines

* Creative and effective in oral and written communication, ability to communicate with all stakeholders in distributed teams/locations

* Ability to work in a fast paced, test-driven, collaborative and agile SDLC environment

* Experience with CI/CD orchestration tools and GIT repositories
