In this role you'll conduct research into IT system capabilities and means of meeting customer requirements. We're looking for network gurus who identify, design, test, deploy, and document solutions for network and telecommunications problems.
Responsibilities:
Developing algorithms for models using networking and/or telecommunic ations technologies and systems
Designing modules representing traditional circuit switched networks
Conducting and analyzing data captures to obtain network performance information
Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the planning, design, development, implementation and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks to encompass diagnosing network performance shortcomings and designing and implementing performance improvements.
- TS/SCI with polygraph required
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience designing and implementing network solutions for complex, high performance systems composed of UNIX or LINUX-based hardware platforms.
- Significant experience provisioning and sustaining network infrastructures and have experience developing, operating, and managing networks required to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC, or VPN enabled environment.
- Significant experience with CISCO network equipment, i.e. 2800 series, 6509, 6513, 3825, 3750, 4900, ASR-1004 and 1006, etc.
- Able to understand routing protocols, QOS, be able to implement traffic shaping and policing on the network, and understand IPSEC tunneling.
- Security+ certification required
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a larger team consisting of government and contractor team members
- Experience and knowledge of INOSC managed routers, Sidewinder firewalls, and BlueCoat Proxy server devices
Hands on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a DOD IT enterprise preferred
- CCNA or higher preferred
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
