Title:
Network Engineer - TS/SCI

KBR is hiring a Network Engineer in Reston, VA. The Network Engineer is responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on communications infrastructure(s), conduct test and evaluations across multiple IP-based networks, and provide in-depth analysis and reporting on a variety of known threats, vulnerabilities, identified hazards, and other open-source data to deliver a comprehensive network assessment tailored to the requirement.

Duties:

  • Design, deploy, and troubleshoot mid - and large-scale networks as well as an experimental lab network
  • Configure networking hardware to latest industry and manufacturer standards and best practices
  • Conduct software and network computer system certification and accreditation formerly, now Assessment & Authorization (A&A), analysis and assessments for ISSM support using the RMF process
  • Update A&A documentation
  • Work closely with Project Managers, team members and other MMC members to services customer's implementation and consulting needs
  • Establish Security Baselines and ensure STIG compliance for Network devices
  • Install configure/test/maintain enterprise software in Microsoft Server environment
  • Configure test and maintain, Active Directory, Exchange, File and Print Servers
  • Configure maintain, troubleshoot, install, configure and test and maintain configurations for network devices and infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, packet filters and security devices
  • Provide infrastructure experience and systematic analysis to resolve or address network issues
  • Evaluate and maintain network hardware and software architecture requirements and capabilities, and make recommendations and contribute to changes and updates as required
  • Maintain access controls and security, manage/optimize performance backup and recovery systems
  • Maintain network stability, analyze network and memory utilization, install and test software upgrades
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of network architecture and configuration diagrams
  • Develop plans to resolve weaknesses, identify gaps in technical and operational capabilities
  • Facilitate management, changes or modifications on one or more high risk/profile projects to include operational devices or solution to support technical, analytical or operational requirements


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Network Engineering, Computer Security, Information Technology
  • At least 3 years of network engineering experience
  • Experience with MAC, Linux and Windows OS, mobile devices, and multimedia network operations
  • Experience with Certification and Accreditation of classified networks
  • Experience with virtualization, Virtual Machine Administration and experience with Cloud Computing
  • Hands-on experience with integrating tools/applications/databases in a secure environment
  • Experience with Compute and Disk Server Administration


Security Requirements: Must have an active TS/SCI POLY clearance.
