Qualifications
What You'll Do:
Exegy is seeking a Network Architect to work in the Information Technology Services group. This position will be the lead network engineer for a small network group responsible for networking in numerous datacenters and office worldwide.
Specifically, you will:
- Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework.
- Design, test, and inspect data communications systems.
- Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
- Assist in the Install of hardware such as cables, hubs, routers, and wireless adaptors.
- Develop technology roadmaps.
- Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
- Manage technology vendors.
- Stay abreast of how technology infrastructures are currently impacting and driving competitors.
- Determine production direction.
- Write functional requirements/specifications documents.
- Assess vendor development/test strategies.
- Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
- Upgrade network hardware and software components as required.
- Solve complex problems with many variables.
What We'll Love About You:
- Strong network security background.
- Experience in a market feed network environment.
- Experience with Fortinet, Juniper, and Arista network equipment.
- ITIL familiarity or certification and Change Management.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent team building and communication skills
- Scripting/automation in a network environment.
What is Required:
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of VPNs and their configuration.
- Strong understanding of IP Multicast.
- Understanding of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- Ability to design and implement new secure networks.
- Ability to redesign networks.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
