Job Description/Roles and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have both breadth and depths in analytical and system engineering skills to design and develop software solutions and capabilities enabling and supporting end to end AI/ML implementations deployed to public cloud platforms such as AWS. The candidate will use AI/ML SDLC to drive delivery of machine learning solutions based on sound design and technical quality, accelerate time to market and manage costs.
Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Provide thought leadership in framing business problems into analytical projects and execution plans
  • Form partnerships across diverse teams to deliver cloud ML solutions.
  • Collaborate with product management, user experience, platform engineering, risk management and other partner organizations in discovery and requirements definition
  • Working with business and technology stakeholders incubate and onboard new ML architecture and engineering blueprints.
  • Designing machine learning systems and automated pipelines for delivery of predictive models.
  • Drive ML workflow and deployment automation through data pipelines and process orchestration.
  • Conduct data collection, exploratory data analysis and feature engineering
  • Implement ML algorithms and run machine learning tests and experiments
  • Perform statistical analysis and model fine-tuning using test results
  • Ensure algorithms generate accurate user recommendations and inferences
  • Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks
  • Document machine learning processes
  • Keep abreast of developments in machine learning.
  • Develop high volume, mission critical applications leveraging messaging and or event-driven architectures.
  • Build ML solutions using public cloud ML Platforms such as AWS Sagemaker for end to end ML solution delivery


This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Ability to lead cross functional collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Solid data and ML engineering track record
  • Hands-on experience with quantitative methods, AI/ML algorithms and open source libraries
  • Knowledge or experience in implementing end to end machine learning solution in public cloud
  • Ability to articulate to stakeholders a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable manner
  • Experience working in an Agile environment in collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Understanding of ML SDLC, delivery principles and tools
  • Familiarity with industry-wide ML technology trends and best practices
  • Keen understanding of software quality and rigor to reduce technical debt
  • Passionate about building pragmatic and innovative machine learning solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Excellent technical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with production support of highly available systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Pytorch
  • Advanced math skills (linear algebra, Bayesian statistics, group theory) Programming experience in Python, Java, React
  • Experience with Spring, Messaging, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS Sagemaker
  • Knowledge of monitoring systems such as Datadog, CloudWatch
  • Work ethic based on a strong desire to meet\\exceed expectations.
  • Has worked successfully in a very fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Used data and metrics to drive the right outcome.
  • Addressed issues related to cloud on-boarding and deployments.
  • SRE mindset culture/approaches: To run better production systems by creating ML solutions to prevent/mitigate operational problems.
