This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) digital and analytics government and military business. The program oversees the strategy, processes, people, investments, and the development of a broad portfolio of digital and analytic tools sitting on common cloud-based platforms. These tools provide customers with a variety of capabilities to help them optimize their programs and maximize their mission success. Examples of capabilities include, but are not limited to, predictive maintenance solutions, supply chain optimization solutions utilizing advanced demand forecasting, real-time decision support models to optimize troubleshooting of complex systems. As part of the Mission Accelerator program, the technical development team applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, integrate, and deploy cutting-edge digital and analytics capabilities, tools, and processes for our customers. This team defines and controls the technical strategy, executes multiple complex statements of work, and coordinates with a variety of resources required over the life of the project. This team is defining the future of digital and analytics capabilities for our customers.As part of this program, you'll work with a wide range of cutting-edge software engineering technologies as well as the latest data science solutions. That includes internal development activities as well as partnering with other industry leaders to bring the best of breed solutions to Boeing's customers.A successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and must be efficient in working both independently and across dynamic development organizations. The position will be responsible for designing, developing unit/integration testing, and building software code to provide new functionality and extend/modify existing code using object-oriented software methodologies and working with cloud stack technologies. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with project managers, development teams, and customers. The candidate will engage frequently and work closely with the Mission Accelerator Chief Architect and Project Managers. The candidate will be responsible for supporting a variety of application capabilities with a direct impact on users and customers. The candidate will be responsible to develop software as necessary to integrate between components, perform new capabilities, to facilitate testing, etc.Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement systems architecture designs, patterns, and approaches.
  • Software development of web applications and components using Angular including software testing practices.
  • Developing new and updating existing software in Java, JavaScript, Angular, SQL, Python, Apache NiFi, and various data formats (i.e. JSON, XML, SQL).
  • Develop Spring Boot based web-services, restful web services, and front-end frameworks such as Angular.
  • Development and integration of software code into continuous integration/build tools such as Jenkins, Maven, etc.
  • Develop within Angular frameworks utilizing tools like Maven, Docker, Jenkins, GitLab, and Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence).
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving skills
  • Exercises ability to think outside the box to enhance both the efficiencies of the development process and the end-user experience.
  • Exercises ability to communicate fluently with other application development specialties, including graphical user interface design development, mathematical and logical algorithm development, and database structure design from diverse groups of development teams.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience software development / programming experience
  • 2+ years of working with Angular framework and building pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins.
  • Experience working within Agile project frameworks

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience with a variety of databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and ElasticSearch.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Apache Solr, and container management and deployments
