Remote opportunity! This role will travel about 30% of the time and can be located anywhere in the contiguous U.S.

As the Manager, Solutions Engineering - Remote, you will lead the Solutions Engineering team for a nationwide, multi-client ecommerce fulfillment product. You will use your engineering, consulting and leadership skills to support the delivery of competitive solutions and key initiatives for our customers, find opportunities through rigorous data collection and investigation, craft marketable solutions for clients, and identify, propose and improve their supply chain operations. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Lead and develop a team of professional supply chain Engineers in delivering client solutions
  • Manage a robust engineering pipeline by allocating resources to client projects
  • Develop pricing methodology and cost models to improve efficiency and increase competitiveness
  • Partner with the Business Development team to align our pricing approach to the win strategy for each client opportunity
  • Train, develop and guide the engineering team to achieve continuous gains in productivity, accuracy and creative problem solving
  • Partner with our Operations and Account Management teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement within current facilities

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of experience in one or more key functional areas: supply chain management, logistics, decision support systems/technology, transportation or distribution management
  • 4 years of experience leading engineering teams
  • Excellent computer skills, including analysis, and spreadsheet and database proficiency (Access and Excel, etc.)
  • Network modeling experience

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time
