Lead Systems Engineer - Experimental Systems Group Special Test Equipment (EGS STE)Company:The Boeing CompanyJob ID:00000278895Date Posted:2021-11-10-08:00Location:USA - Seal Beach, CAJob Description Qualifications: The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer - Experimental Systems Group Special Test Equipment (EGS STE) located in Seal Beach, CA. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the development and procurement effort for a new Special Test Equipment architecture to support execution of a system test of a space vehicle test program.Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee the design, development, buildup, test, integration and support of computing tools, software, systems and networks for design, simulations, test systems and environments, test computing elements and laboratory/test networks
  • Perform requirements analysis and planning of large, highly-complex test computing environments for major programs and enterprise-wide systems
  • Develop processes and creates procedures and training plans for development, design and execution of Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
  • Lead Experimental Systems Group Special Test Equipment design effort
  • Architect a system test environment for a space vehicle test program
  • Establish trades and define requirements for test equipment/environment
  • Manage STE procurement efforts to obtain equipment and system within allocated budgets Develop design review material for the test program
  • Support team in overall development efforts related to testing and test efforts

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 10+ years of experience in system engineering (e.g. Systems, Design, Architecture, Integration, Requirements or Test)
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Integrated Product Team Lead, and/or in Test and Evaluation Leadership
  • 5+ years of experience in designing special test equipment for flight programs and supporting proposals

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Program Management, including scheduling and Cost Account Manager (CAM) Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience with telemetry and command ground station hardware
  • Experience with data collection and handling
