Overview BigBear.ai is seeking an experienced Jr Software Engineer to build and develop our next-generation enterprise products across the BigBear.ai portfolio. This position will be based out of San Diego with remote flexibility. This position is responsible for the entire software development life cycle - design, implementation, service operations, and customer support. What you will do The ideal candidate will be a full stack engineer that thrives in a product driven design workplace and has a strong desire to build something from the ground up. You will need to flourish as part of a growing team and be able to communicate effectively to other engineers, QA, and product management. What you need to have 3+ years of experience as a full stack developer with a passion for cloud technology Experience building low friction APIs, highly responsive RESTful web UIs, and the backend to support them Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis Experience with data modeling and business logic Demonstrated proficiency with at least one modern general-purpose programming languages (Java, Python, Clojure, etc.) Solid experience in Linux environment. Ability to work with a variety of teams and be passionate about building cutting-edge solutions to solve problems with the right technologies Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, testing, deployment and operations. Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field or equivalent practical experience. What we'd like you to have Expert in various database technology stacks (NoSQL, Elasticsearch). Solid understanding of AWS technology (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, ELB) Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs. Qualifications
