Position Title: Jr. DevOps Developer
Department: IT
Immediate Supervisor: CISO
Position Summary: A Jr. DevOps developer is responsible for creating and maintaining PowerShell scripts to perform a variety of IT administration tasks including the creation of VMWare servers and Amazon Web Services architectural components.
Essential Functions:
- Learn or demonstrate proficiency in the PowerShell language.
- Learn or demonstrate proficiency in the AWS PowerShell API.
- Learn or demonstrate proficiency in the VMWare PowerCLI API.
- Learn or demonstrate proficiency with using PowerShell to manage a Windows environment.
- Take direction and then work independently
- Work as part of a team
- Process documentation
- Availability for occasional weekend/evening work in addition to the normal work week
Preferred Talents / Skills:
- Demonstrable familiarity with a popular scripting language e.g. C#, Python, Powershell, Bash.
- Familiarity with git source control.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Professional oral communications skills.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science.
- Strong interest in IT Operations and DevOps
This is an in-office position in Cornelius, NC. Successful candidates will live within commuting distance of Cornelius or be willing to relocate.
