IT Support Administrator
The SailPoint Education Services team operates a global delivery program of technical training classes in support of multiple Identity Security and Governance products. This position is new to the team, designed to provide technical infrastructure design and support for these classes. This position will have primary responsibilities for creating base (template) virtual machines used across multiple courses, configure those VMs for specific classes and events, deploy, configure & recover SaaS tenants for short-term events, document and automate operational procedures, and support the infrastructure components deployed in delivery of training.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain virtual machine and VM templates for reuse
- Deploy, monitor, recover tenants within established SaaS global infrastructure
- Deploy and configure virtual machines for delivery of training events
- Automate everywhere possible to meet scalability demands
- Collaborate effectively and manage expectations at crossroads of delivery and infrastructure
- Document and improve operational procedures
Background & Experience
- Production infrastructure operations (2+ years)
- Virtual Machine creation and management, VMware preferred (2+ years)
- Linux system administration (2+ years)
- Cloud infrastructure environments, AWS preferred (2+ years)
- Scripting languages, Ruby, Python preferred (2+ years)
- Networking concepts and troubleshooting (1+ years)
- Cloud hosting platforms, Skytap preferred (1+ years)
- Containerization, Docker or Kubernetes preferred (1+ years)
- Release automation, Jenkins preferred (1+ years)
- Java applications / JVM environments (1+ years)
- Application servers, Tomcat preferred (1+ years)
- Relational database administration (1+ years)
