Inside Sales Application Engineer
Cornell Pump has an exciting opportunity for the position of Inside Sales Applications Engineer. The position is based out of the company's Clackamas, Oregon factory and headquarters. The position supports Cornell Pump's network of sales staff and distributors in the U.S. and around the world with technical advice, product suggestions, and sales order fulfillment.
The Inside Sales Application Engineer's primary duties include:
- Answers distributor and end user questions and inquiries concerning correct selection of Cornell equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills; frequent telephone and e-mail communication.
- Good follow-up and tracking of orders, open orders, issues, and possible/pending sales.
- Computer fluency; MS Word and Excel proficiency preferred with the ability to use quote tracking system to enter sales orders, and ERP system in delivery forecasting.
- Develop knowledge of product; range, features, and benefits, in order to match distributors' needs.
- Relationship builder within company and with distributors. Working closely with market managers, regional managers, engineering and operations; incumbent would be expected to build trust and respect, while working towards a common goal of selling high quality pumps. For distributors, customer engagement to provide a consistent, friendly voice advocating for them and directing them to best product selection.
- Support outside sales with new distributors; stewarding questions and design concerns to build product familiarity.
- Help follow up on sales leads and support outside sales team in prospecting new distributors
- Acquire, interpret, and practically apply technical pump information (Training is provided).
- Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in field.
