About the team:
As an InfrastructureSupport Engineer at FIS, you will work in a global team to partake in incident, problem, and change management activities for our Internal and external customers within the FIS capital markets space. You will be interacting with customers, both internal and external alike on a regular basis. You will be expected to manage your own time and communicate effectively with your manager as well as other team members. You will also be involved in root cause analysis procedures and documentation. InfrastructureSupport Engineers are an integral part of the Cloud Services team. We are looking for technically minded candidates who can handle novel situations and issues while communicating/coordinating with customers and other teams.
What you will be doing:
The ideal candidate should have a solid technical/IT background, be willing to learn a wide range of products and technologies, have an aptitude for troubleshooting/analyzing problems and be able to work with customers to solve their issues. You will be constantly challenged with a significant range of tasks and gain experience working in multiple areas of technology. This is a challenging and rewarding role that constantly presents new opportunities for learning a variety of technologies and products with opportunities to move into a range of other technical specialty positions within the group.
As part of the Cloud ServicesInfrastructureSupport team, the engineer will be responsible for:

• Receiving and analyzing technical issues from clients.
• Finding and applying solutions to client issues
• Recognizing and escalating critical issues according to policy
• Periodically providing on-call remote weekend support across both Saturday and Sunday
• Install patches/configuration changes for products
• Managing your own workload and tasks to ensure appropriate prioritization and timely completion
• Learning new products and technologies as they are introduced into our systems

What you bring:

• Normal Business Hour responsibilities, with the possibility of rotating off hours on-call support duties.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Desire to work in a global team-based environment
• Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Server OS
• VMWare ESX/vSphere knowledge
• TCP/IP based networking experience
• SAN technology experience
• Citrix XenApp, Access Gateway, NetScaler knowledge
• SFTP/FTP experience
• Scripting knowledge

Added bonus if you have:

• Experience with VMWare
• Experience with Citrix XenApp 6.5/7.6/ v1912 LTSR and NetScaler vpx
• Experience with Windows server 2008/2012/2016/2019
• Experience with HP/Dell Blades, Chassis and iLO / idrac configuration
