We're dramatically re-envisioning of traditional monolithic mainframe banking systems leveraging best of breed open source cloud computing capabilities to create functionally discreet micro services. We're designing solutions to ensure that our customers always have the very best capabilities the financial industry has to offer available at their fingertips by creating an ecosystem of collaborative financial web services. We are searching for a certain kind of person who is excited by the idea of owning; people who like to build new platforms, features and services. This position requires collaboration with UX designers, product managers, technical program managers, and partner teams. You should be comfortable with ambiguity with a desire to create, iterate and improve.

As Head of Digital Lending you'll be expected to help empower this transformation towards innovative technical thought leadership and cutting-edge application development approaches. In this position, you will manage multiple agile teams of engineers to create feature rich, efficient, and scalable applications. The right person will be passionate about technology, scalability and the web and have strong technical, business, and managerial skills to help design, build, and review the team's implementations. You should be comfortable conducting design and code reviews within the engineering team and leading and vetting designs across partner technical teams and with business leaders. You should be able to get into the details of our solutions, guide implementation, and take end-to-end ownership of systems in coordination with your peers in the product management and operations.

Ideal leader of leaders will have a background in high-throughput, distributed cloud transaction processing platforms; at least 15 years demonstrated work experience, great analytical skills, strong business judgment, superb communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to resolve conflicts and set priorities, and outstanding customer insight. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage complex projects with significant bottom line impact• Work closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.• Lead teams that will be build best in class payments capabilities on our digital channels using modern engineering practices• Will continue to evolve our digital lending capabilities that will be customer centric in approach while supporting all payments and transfers rails• Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.• Project management - prioritization, planning of projects and features, Stakeholder management and tracking of external commitments• Operational Excellence - monitoring & operation of production services• Career management and development of direct reports• Own your solutions from product to production. Be educated and opinionated about product requirements and direction and authoritative on the architecture of your services.• Good problem solving skills and mature decision making. You get in, understand the problems and are able to help craft the solutions. You know how to make the tradeoffs and how to explain them.• Establish collaborative and productive relationships with product management, governance, UX design, vendors and other supporting teams.• Foster an environment of engineering excellence and innovation. Insist on designing to the edge.• This leader must be someone that can influence through others, deliver results, and earn trust quickly of the organization and stakeholders and someone that has a strong bias for action.• Negotiate Book of Work with all LOBs staying true to the principles of customer centric delivery.• Keep technical debt in check. Standardize the process for collecting compromises and tradeoffs and ensure appropriate prioritization and resolution.• Ensure teams are building using modern practices and tools. Recognize and act of your responsibility for driving change for the entire development community.• Cultivate operational excellence within your teams.• Build a high performing team of engineers and project managers. Mentor and grow your people. Create an environment of individual accountability. People grow to meet expectations. Yours should be high. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Computer Science / Engineering Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience• 15+ years relevant work experience, including product management experience, including minimum of 5 years of management experience• 5+ years' experience managing large scale delivery of mobile, web, and cloud products• Experience with personal installment lending.• Well versed with digital frontend technologies and modern engineering practices• Deep understating of various lending capabilities such as cards lending, PiL, buy now pay later etc. • Well-versed in security, encryption procedures and how data is exchanged including technologies such as oAuth• Proven experience in project management of multiple initiatives with competing priority and disparate resourcing• Hands on experience with agile software development methodologies• Experience shaping business strategy for technical products or services• Demonstrated ability to define, prioritize and deliver best in class software service products• Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution• The ability to succeed in a cross-matrixed organization that relies on building support in other groups• Capacity to adapt to shifting goals and activities. Capacity to manage multiple activities in parallel.• Self-starter with the ability to define goals and strategies with minimal management oversight.• Willingness to take risks to develop a business in unchartered waters, ambition to build a new reference for the payment industry• Has the innate ability to inspire passion in others, a proven leader• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven and results-oriented• Experience managing teams delivering mobile and/or cloud-based solutions• Customer-focused mindset, taking pride in creating an informative data-driven journey

ADVANCED QUALIFICATIONS• Proven track record of successfully creating and implementing a digital change agenda, combined with a wealth of experience in designing payments products and services that enhance the client experience and grow revenue• Experience leading a high performing strategy & innovation team capable of maximizing impact of technology and payments value creation and adoption of new and emerging technologies• A proven track record of leading a visionary strategy to deliver global, company-wide platform services at enterprise large scales• Direct experience managing high traffic, high transaction volume systems• Experience in affecting large culture change• Experience in building solutions for retail bank customers
