Cognizant is looking for a GCP Architect to join our Artificial Intelligence and Analytics practice (AIA)! The Technical Lead is responsible for managing a small team of developers and drive delivery of a development stream within a project. This person also plays an active role in managing communication between the Data Architects and the Operations team to align on deliverables and coordinate the release of developed code. You would also work with the Data Architect to translate user documentation into tasks for the developers of their team. They will provide expertise to their developers to ensure best practices and high-quality coding standards are followed. And work closely with other Technical Leads to share findings and see opportunities to identify synergies between development groups.

Position Responsibilities
- Translate technical design documents provided by architects into technical stories for developers
- Collaborate with operations to continuously improve deployment standards for production code
- Share a point of view in the development of estimates for Epics and User Stories for planning and execution during phase 3
- Enrich, define, and implement governance standards to mitigate against entropy via continual operational excellence
- Implement and continuously improve high-quality coding standards and practices via reviews
- Provide data analytics technical leadership when collaborating with other IT teams on project work
Position Qualifications:
- Good heands on on GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
- In-depth knowledge of SQL (plSQL, Hive, Impala, Oracle) and databases
- Advanced knowledge of OBIEE, Cloudera, Informatica
- Experience with Big Data processing frameworks and tools (Cloudera, Sqoop, Hive, Impala, Spark)
- Experience software development on a team using Agile methodology
- Experience in implementing automated testing for large scale data platforms
- Experience with DevOps tools and techniques (e.g continuous integration, Jenkins, Puppet, etc)
