Full Stack Web Application Developer - REMOTE

CACI helps the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency explore, prototype, and demonstrate new technologies, enabling the US Department of Defense to maintain its technological advantage. We are seeking an experienced full stack web application developer to help us research and develop web applications for air operations planning and management.

As a full-stack web application developer, you will:

  • Work closely with our customers to design and implement frontend and backend software for a complex interactive web application
  • Support design of the client- and server-side software architectures
  • Develop and manage backend databases
  • Write unit and user interface tests to support automated application testing
  • Build frontend features according to the principles of progressive enhancement and responsive design
  • Work with a wide variety of libraries and frameworks - or in some cases, none at all
  • Apply your HTML / CSS / JavaScript programming skills to solving complex data management problems
  • Review technical standards, academic literature, hardware/software documentation, and technical reports, and apply that information to software design and implementation
  • Present the results of research and software development to your peers or customers
  • Write technical documentation



Technologies you will use include:

  • Server-side programming environments, particularly Java or Node.js and frameworks like Express
  • OpenAPI Specification/Swagger tools
  • Docker or Kubernetes for containerized deployment
  • Automated testing tools like Mocha, Ava, JUnit, Selenium, or others
  • Databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, etc.
  • SCM and issue tracking tools like Git, GitLab, Jira, etc.



Experience that will set you apart:

  • Experience with graph analysis
  • Experience designing and implementing machine learning-based tools
  • Familiarity with military operations planning in general; Air Force air operations, missions, workflows and artifacts in particular
  • Experience with TCP/IP network design and configuration


Qualifications

You'll need to meet these requirements to be eligible for this position:

  • Able to obtain Department of Defense SECRET Security Clearance
  • Able to work in an office environment, including using computers for long periods of time and communicating with others face-to-face, by telephone, email, or instant messaging
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, video game development, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Have five or more years of professional experience as a full-stack web developer
  • Desire to learn on the job

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $71,300-$146,200. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
