About The Role:
Pagoda is looking for a senior software engineer to join the wallet team! We build and maintain the wallet interface, which is a central piece of the Pagoda developer and user ecosystems. The wallet allows Pagoda users to manage their accounts and owned assets, and is a key part of the Pagoda experience for all dapp users and developers.
In addition to working on developing the wallet frontend UI and backend systems, you will also have the opportunity to help maintain and expand the developer-facing JavaScript & TypeScript libraries that enable developers to build applications on the Pagoda blockchain! You will participate in research at the forefront of the digital asset user and developer experience, and have the opportunity to have a massive impact in a fast-growing and cutting-edge industry.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing, building, and maintaining the JavaScript & TypeScript libraries and SDKs that support the NEAR wallet ecosystem
- Collaborating with internal and external engineers and community contributors
- Creating and contributing to documentation related to various developer libraries and APIs
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication and remote-friendly working skills
- Experience writing front systems using JavaScript (TypeScript experience is a plus! We're migrating!)
- Demonstrable mastery of frontend stack development. Do you understand HTTP/Websockets, REST APIs? Component design best practices?
- Experience writing frontend systems using React, ideally with Redux (or even better, experience with multiple state management paradigms!)
- Ideally you’ll have 2+ years experience building production frontend applications, libraries, APIs
- Demonstrable ability to write well-structured, clean, maintainable code
- Ability to learn new languages, APIs and SDKs quickly
- Experience and interest in building and documenting developer-facing tools and APIs
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is a must
We’d Love If You Have:
- Open source contributions and previous or continued involvement in open source communities - if you have open source code we can review, this can serve as part of the interview loop!
- Familiarity with Ethereum development and related technologies (web3.js, ethers.js, etc)
- Familiarity with other crypto or blockchain technologies
- Experience working at a startup
Here’s What Our Interview Process Looks Like:
Depending on calendar availability, from the first stage to the final stage, we do our best to keep the entire process to under three weeks. Our interviews take place via Zoom and typically consists of the following stages:
- Internal Recruiter Call (30 to 45 minutes)
- Meet with the Hiring Manager (30-60 minutes)
- Technical & Leadership Interviews (4 x 60 minutes)
- Culture & Values Interview (30 to 45 minutes)
