Overview

We are seeking a full-time FPGA Design Engineer for our office in Chandler, AZ. In this role, you will contribute to avionics hardware development, requirements development and hardware certification.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Design and integrate FPGA high-speed modules and deliver FPGA releases
• Collaborate with hardware and software team members to bring up and test FPGA functions
• Lead complex FPGA designs with large project staffing
• Find technical root cause and suggest corrective action for given problems using sound problem solving techniques
• Source and analyze appropriate components to meet electrical engineering design needs
• Contribute to design reviews across multiple product types
• Create self-checking test cases to be used on target hardware or simulation
• Complete DO-254 documentation (this can be learned)

THIS POSITION COULD BE FILLED AT A LEVEL 2 OR HIGHER DEPENDING ON THE QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CANDIDATE

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge, education and/or training of basic circuits (Digital and FPGA)
• Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
• Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others, ensuring successful achievement of company goals

Desired Qualifications

• VHDL or Verilog experience
• Digital signal processing experience
• Hands on experience with lab equipment such as logic analyzer, oscilloscope, etc.
• ChipScope experience
• Experience with Xilinx Vivado
• Experience and/or knowledge of DO-254
• Aviation related experience
