-We are looking to hire an FPGA Design Lead at our campus in Orlando, FL for the Advanced Programs area-The engineer will have the opportunity to architect FPGA designs, make design trades, and capture/derive requirements accordingly
- The engineer will lead a small team in FPGA design and hardware integration and be responsible for coordination with other engineering disciplines, interface with senior key team members, and present to the customer as needed
-The engineer will have the opportunity to develop FPGA requirements, RTL development of high speed interfaces, generation of self-checking test bench, unit test, synthesis, timing analysis, Built-In-Test (BIT) and support of debug and system integration activities.
-The ideal candidate will have experience with high-speed serial interferences and algorithm implementation for RF sensors.

The Locale: Orlando is a city in the Central Florida area. This region is a great place to live and to raise a family. Central Florida offers lots of attractive residential housing options. The Greater Orlando metropolitan area is the sixth largest metro area in the southeastern United States. The climate here is warm and sunny all year long for the most part. Orlando is home to the University of Central Florida (UCF), Walt Disney World, and SeaWorld. Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1 and ¼ hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- Knowledgeable and proficient in Verilog/System Verilog coding, verification, integration, test, and detailed design.
-Relevant experience with FPGA architecture, design, and development (Verilog, System-Verilog), associated tools (Vivado, Libero, etc.), and IP Cores
-Strong communications, collaboration, and presentation skills.
-The ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance

Desired skills

-MSEE, MSCE would be a plus.
-Experience with System-Verilog, Verilog, C/C++, MatLab / Simulink; Synopsis Synplify, Synopsis VCS
-Experience with Configuration Management (CM) and Change Control concepts and tools (Git, DOORS, Subversion, Mantis, Jira, etc.)
-Experience with Xilinx and Intel part families internal FPGA fabric and IP.
- Zync Ultrascale+ or other SOC design experience
-Previous experience related to aerospace design techniques would be a plus.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Colorado Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $74,900 - $124,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
