What You’ll Do
Your core role will be built around the delivery of product commitments, improving productivity, safeguarding your team’s health, and putting them in the best position to succeed while working in collaboration with the Product and Design teams. This will include:
- Help engineers grow their skills and experience
- Run agile project management processes
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members on technical contributions, product architecture, and best practices. This may include evaluating individual workflow one on ones, conducting code reviews, or working on non-critical path bugs and/or features
- Conduct hiring interviews
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Provide regular and constructive feedback around individual performance
- Draft quarterly team objectives and Engineering KPIs
- Improve product quality, security, and performance
What You’ve Done
- 7+ years of relevant industry or academic experience
- 2+ years of direct people management experience in technical teams along with current technical experience comparable to that of a Senior Engineer
- In-depth technical experience with Python, React, Django, JavaScript/TypeScript, and at least one statically typed language
- Knowledge of modern cloud based infrastructure and tools
- Experience developing distributed projects in a microservice architecture
- Experience with agile methodologies and stakeholder management
- Customer-centric prioritization and data-driven decision-making
- Knowledge of software delivery performance measurement with DORA & flow metrics, standards, and vulnerabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The minimum pay for this role is $190,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years & depth of experience, and some role dependent factors that can include certifications and software expertise. We also hope you’ll consider and be open to what else we provide outside of our base compensation.
