Job Description
Join a talented electrical system & software validation team responsible for testing and troubleshooting complex emission critical diesel engine software. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills in diesel engine electrical systems, software validation, troubleshooting, and test automation. You will be part of a global team and work closely with others to conduct release testing, resolve issues, automate testing, and investigate field issues involving both software and electronics.
Job Duties:
- Software and electrical system validation engineering for large diesel engines and aftertreatment.
- Testing will include HIL (Hardware in the Loop) and VPD (Virtual Product Development) tools with the goal of validating core diesel engine & aftertreatment electronic systems & software.
- Document test plans based on software specifications and change management requests.
- Participate in NPI and CPI design discussions.
- Work with system engineers to refine and clarify specifications.
- Troubleshoot issues found during testing working with software and system engineers.
- This role will require an understanding and review of the software implementation.
- Investigate field issues, which typically involve replicating the field issue in a lab environment using a variety of techniques.
- Continuously improving our testing processes and efficiency by automating tests and other process steps.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering and 3+ years of experience or Master's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering and 2+ years of experience.
Minimum of 2 years work experience in Diesel Engine & Aftertreatment engineering.
Top Candidates will also have
Experience with DSpace/MRET HIL systems and Control Desk.
Experience with Vector tools (CANape and CANalyzer).
Experience with Python.
Experience with Matlab/Simulink.
Great communication skills.
Great problem-solving skills.
Great organizational skills.
Additional Information
The location for this position is Mossville, IL.
