Location: Boise City, ID
Salary: $180,000-$190,000
Description:
JDP is seeking a Director of Automation Engineering in Boise, ID! The Automation Engineer will be responsible for identifying and piloting new warehouse automation technology to improve productivity. This role will focus on system sizing and design and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Work with warehouse solution providers to design systems and develop business cases
- Manage installation large scale automation projects
- Evaluate multiple automation solutions and design prototypes
- Monitor industry and business trends, and benchmark competitive products to identify sources of competitive advantage
- Engage with warehouse operators to improve automation systems
- Track project process and automation success through data mining and developing KPI's and automated reporting
- Present business cases, automation system performance and continuous improvement initiative to executive leadership through effective communication
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline
- 5+ years experience in warehouse automation
- Understanding of warehouse operations, including WMS software, building layout optimization, order-filling methods, and work standards
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma, OEE and AGILE development
- Strong analytical and project management background
- Travel required up to 35%
