SAIC is seeking a Digital Sustainment Engineer to join our energized Engineering Innovation Factory Team of solution architects and digital engineers to define and build the infrastructure that fuels the Digital Engineering Transformation across our entire industry. Our work creating digital ecosystems span an exciting variety of programs, customers and corporate initiatives requiring Digital Engineering and Model Based Engineering applications and infrastructure deployed in Defense, Federal Civilian, and/or National Security environments. This job can be worked remotely anywhere within the U.S.

As part of our Engineering Innovation Factory Team, you will engage with other digital engineering subject matter experts and foster broader understanding of sustainment to assist them in developing digital work products. You will also be required to engage with the larger community (Industry, Government, and Academia) to stay up to date with latest trends and emerging technologies, approaches, methods, and techniques to further mature and or increase our digital engineering capabilities, and to mentor others on our solutions and standards.

Ability to perform most or all of the following:

  • Develop models and generate artifacts for logistics and sustainment, including: Reliability Analysis, Availability Analysis, Maintainability Analysis (develop models for, document results, ensure ongoing support for)
  • Create models and perform maintenance task analysis, LORA, and DSOR development
  • Create models and perform FRACAS, FMECA, FTA mapping and calculations
  • Develop models for and perform Safety Analysis
  • Develop models for and perform Sparing Analysis
  • Develop models for and perform Life Cycle Cost Analysis
  • Develop models for and perform Sustainment Analysis
  • Apply Systems Engineering principals as they relate to Sustainment
  • Obsolescence assessments with financial impacts and COA prioritization
  • Develop, implement and oversee sampling Plans
  • Experience with ability to perform Anomaly Investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and apply corrective actions
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control
  • Prefer experience working with Agile Development

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and fourteen (14) years of experience in sustainment, and/or integrated product support, and/or logistics. Masters and twelve (12) years of experience. PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. Will consider additional years of experience in lieu of education
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment

Desired Skills:

  • Experience supporting US Federal Government agencies and processes
  • Experience or Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
  • Experience with SW development (Java, Java Script, C#, C++, Modern Web Frameworks)


Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
