Job description

Role & Responsibilities:• Work with development teams to design & facilitate implementation of CI/CD solutions to maximize software delivery performance.• Work with the development teams to ensure alignment of development needs and timelines with infrastructure capacity and capabilities in the cloud.• Plan, manage and provide systems infrastructure and application support in the cloud.• Evaluate solution options and make buy vs. build recommendations.• Develop and implement DevOps operational best practices while maintaining agility.• SaaS production experience and the ability to take ownership of and keep customer-facing production environments up and running.• Provide strategy for building DevOps CI/CD pipeline.• Lead/Mentor/Train DevOps & automation engineers.

Qualifications• 5+ years' experience as a DevOps Lead• Expert hands on experience with AWS cloud technologies.• Strong knowledge of CI/CD work and support.• Architect/design/enhance/support CI/CD pipeline supporting best practices.• Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI, Nexus, ELK Stack, splunk)• Experience with Infrastructure as code (Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Puppet)• Containerization such as Docker, Kubernetes.• 3+ years leading a DevOps team.• 3+ years leading / managing operations or infrastructure teams supporting one or more development teams in the cloud.• 3+ years building and supporting infrastructure in production with experience in monitoring, logging, alerting and on-call in the cloud.• 4+ years hands on experience with building CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple product teams.• 4+ years experience with Agile Scrum.• Experience with Blue/Green, Canary, Rolling deployment strategies.• Respond to and resolve emergency build or release issues across different build platforms, while supporting users from different geographical sites.• Monitor and maintain build and release infrastructure which includes servers, permissions and hardware resources needed.• Design, test and deliver infrastructure to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of IaaS• Network concepts, such as protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, etc.), MAC addresses, IP packets, DNS, OSI layers, load balancing, Firewall and VPN• Strong Linux administration. Ensure security compliance.• Other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications• Amazon AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional Certification• Integrating GitLab CI/CD pipeline in AWS with deployment environments in Salesforce, MuleSoft, Heroku.• Strong experience liaising with software developers and engineers, including fostering best practices around scalability, security, and cost management.• Solid TCP/IP networking experience and understanding.• Experience in a regulated environment 21 CFR Part 11.• Solid database experience including database tuning, high availability, replication and optimization with Postgres and similar.

Education and Experience• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering and 5 years demonstrated work experience or an equivalent combination of related training and experience.
