Job Overview:

The Global Compute Services organization is responsible for architecting scalable, secure application and automation platforms. The DevOps Automation Engineer is to be a technical expert for enterprise infrastructure automation & DevOps practices within the organization, providing solutions and technical guidance aligned with the Citi infrastructure automation objectives. This team member will play an integral role in implementing the organization's Automation Strategy.

The Chief Technology Office plays a critical role in fulfilling the firm's commitment to safety and soundness by ensuring Citi delivers efficient and high-quality solutions and technologies, coordinating foundational macro technology strategies, ensuring Citi's readiness to safely leverage new technologies, and making Citi a competitive destination for the best technical talent.

The Global Compute Services organization is responsible for architecting scalable, secure application and automation platforms. You will be part of a team building a seamless experience that allows our teams to develop on any platform without worrying about the underlying infrastructure or its integrations. We are developing Automation solutions to quickly allow our developers, systems engineers to code, test and deploy configuration management solutions to production through IaC pipelines, APIs.

You will get to work hands-on with industry leading tools and platforms at extreme scale. We want people to challenge management, voice their opinions, and ultimately drive our strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Subject matter expert on enterprise infrastructure automation solutions (Self-healing automation)
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level engineering and analysts, allocating work as necessary
• Develop, configure, and administer DevOps and IT automation solutions
• Understand and remediate complex issues and topologies of large enterprises
• Collecting and reviewing customers' feedback to enhance user experience
• Provide technical support to IT Ops around automation solution usage
• Evangelize best practice DevOps and Agile within the broader organization

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, Puppet etc
• Experience in scripting or programming languages (Ruby, Perl, Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.)
• Expert level Log mining & analytics using Splunk /Kibana
• Experience in DevOps, Software Configuration, Build, Deployment, Release Management and Infrastructure Design is required
• System administration level knowledge in any of the infrastructure towers (Compute/Database/network etc.)
• Experience in SQL MySQL/ /SQL Server/Oracle (Preferred)
• Expert level understanding and implementation of RESTful APIs.
• Administration and support of JFrog Artifactory
• Strong experience in Red Hat administration, RHCSA certified preferred
• 3+ years of administering Ansible Tower 3.x is required
• Knowledge of Unix (AIX and Solaris) is preferred
• Knowledge of identity management and access control systems (LDAP, Kerberos, AD, PowerBroker, PAM, etc.)
• Good understanding of Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, Altassian developer tools
• Good knowledge in at least on containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes
• Comfortable with frequent, incremental code, testing and deployment
• Ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment
• Proficient experience JIRA, Service Now and Confluence
• Experience with Scrum/Kanban and Agile methodologies
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communications, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Top-notch decision-making and collaborative abilities
• Experience in proposing, adopting or providing feedback on new processes & technologies
• Bilingual English & Spanish is a plus

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
