As a Developer Advocate at Zoom, you will create meaningful relationships with developers around the world in a scalable way. You will create tools and resources for the Zoom developer community to help them develop on the Zoom platform, like sample apps, blog posts, documentation, and other developer tools and materials. You will also foster a bustling community of developers that love Zoom and turn their feedback into action to improve Zoom's growing developer platform.

You Will

Own the SDK from a developer evangelism and advocacy perspective.

This will include creating sample apps, working with engineering teams to improve tooling, documentation, features and helping Zoom customers and partners integrate our developer products into their apps.

Deeply understand the Zoom Marketplace SDK ecosystem.

Work closely with our strategic partners to help them integrate our SDKs into their products and ensure value creation.

Represent the external developer's view on our products to help prioritize the product roadmap accordingly.

Develop and improve tools and documentation to help scale our Meetings and Video SDK. 

Develop sample code and other materials to share with the broader Zoom developer community.

Engage with customers to understand their business objectives and demonstrate the value proposition of new apps.

Identify key system architecture components, propose solutions that unblock clients’ deployments.

Troubleshoot customer technical issues in real time.

Represent Zoom and its platform offerings at developer events.

Must Have

Previous experience (3+ years) as a software engineer. 

Hands-on experience developing macOS or iOS applications using Swift. 

Knowledge of File system, Multi-threading, Tasks / Processes & Networking systems.

Working knowledge of tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and Xcode.

Experience with Endpoint Security Framework / IOKit Framework.

Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences. 

Understanding of the enterprise and consumer software space. 

Experience working with cloud identity providers and collaboration tools. 

Understanding of the web technology stack (TCP/IP, HTTP, RESTful APIs)

Nice to Have

Professional experience developing an SDK.

Deep understanding of video and audio. 

Experience developing with Objective-C and C++.

Experience building Electron-based applications.

Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments. 

Experience with security protocols (SAML, Kerberos, etc.) and enterprise user management systems (e.g. Active Directory).

Experience managing raw video and audio streams.

Familiarity with Enterprise software development technologies and practices.
