Summary
Join the team responsible for Apple's Beta Software Program. Our tools and applications collect user feedback on beta software releases, helping to drive the direction and priorities of Apple's engineering teams.

We are looking for a manager to lead a group in San Diego. This group specializes in two areas. First, its on-device work delivers Objective-C and Swift code to all of Apple's OS platforms, including Feedback Assistant on macOS and iOS and its supporting frameworks. Second, its machine learning work produces tools and systems to help manage the millions of feedback reports we receive yearly from customers and developers.

Key Qualifications
3-5 years working on shipping software (software development, project management, or QA)
Ability to build, inspire, and manage a full-time staff of software engineers
Enjoys software design, technical challenges, testing, and problem solving
Self-motivated and pro-active with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Passionate for the customer and for shipping quality software to them
Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced and informal environment, and able to respond to changing priorities quickly and efficiently

Description
You will be managing a team of talented software engineers. Our team defines and builds both server and client-side applications to broaden the impact of our program. You will collaborate and work cross-functionally with other engineering teams and services groups to drive projects toward completion. In addition, this position will manage development from start to finish to ensure high level strategy and vision are designed, implemented, integrated, and continuously tested. An ideal candidate is eager to learn new technologies, innovate, and able to tackle both technical and managerial challenges.

Education & Experience
B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Experience in delivering machine learning or natural language processing systems a plus
  • Experience developing macOS or iOS applications in Objective-C or Swift a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
