About the Job:
Cyderes is looking for a dedicated, creative, and experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer I to join the Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automating everything, identifying opportunities for optimization/stability, and exploring new ideas to better our services and products. The candidate should have experience working efficiently on small teams, being flexible in filling roles, and a strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP). The position requires experience with CI/CD workflows, scripted automation, metric gathering and analysis, and supportive tooling related to big data operations. The candidate should be able to establish and enforce strong security practices and have a willingness to learn and provide feedback on upcoming technologies. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for and help in the creation of the CYDERES platform, ensure the highest level of quality and stability of the platform, and integrate with developers to get functionality out as fast and stable as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Run, maintain, and improve the CYDERES managed cloud environments
- Identify opportunities for improvement of the CYDERES platform
- Troubleshoot and remediate any system/automation issues
- Maintain and support a production Kubernetes environment
- Assist in development and maintenance of the CYDERES platform
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve CI/CD processes and procedures
- Utilize the strengths and understand the differences of cloud providers
- Document and standardize engineering procedures
- Creation and maintain automation and tooling to assist in the deployment and ongoing support of CYDERES cloud-managed infrastructure
- Participate in on-call rotation pertaining to infrastructure outages
- Participate in after-hour maintenance cycles
- Research and remediate Security concerns with all Cloud Platforms
- Automate tasks through scripting

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with Kubernetes operation and administration
- Investigative analysis (CI/CD pipelines, technology PoCs, QoL automation) skills
- Familiarity working in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Desired state configuration (Terraform/Salt/Ansible/Puppet/Chef) knowledge
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) experience
- Experience with virtualization hypervisors (VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, XenServer)
- Source control and CI/CD (ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitHub, Spinnaker, Concourse CI, etc) knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience supporting and/or creating a production environment
- Experience working with other developers/engineers
- 2+ years working in development/SE/DevOps fields
