Cloud Advisory Architect
Key Role:
Provide oversight, strategic thought leadership, and innovative solutions towards maturing a federal agency's enterprise-wide cloud strategy, architecture, migration, and shared service capabilities. Leverage strategic and te chn ical expertise to accelerate cloud adoption for department stakeholders. Engage with tenants to understand business and te chn ical priorities and challenges and manage and enhance the processes required to triage, prioritize, and funnel tenant requirements for new capabilities. Create advanced, enterprise solutions in the cloud that will serve as the shared tools for hundreds of applications to reduce operational costs and timelines. Translate tenant specific milestones and key activities to program level cloud enablement roadmaps and presentations, tailored for both senior and executive level federal leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in designing and architecting large-scale, cloud-based applications, including leading architecture sessions and providing implementation guidance
- Experience with designing an open-source stack of t rus ted, high-performing Kubernetes solutions
- Experience with designing, coding, and implementing next-generation enterprise CI / CD architecture using open-source tools and best practices
- Experience with leading Application Rationalization, IT Portfolio management, and Cloud migration planning initiatives
- Experience with analyzing and reviewing IT investments and services to ensure they align with the business needs and strategy
- Experience with coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future te chn ology functionality for a platform as a service ( PaaS ) across a major government organization
- Experience with containers, container orchestration, auto-scaling, advanced deployment models, CI / CD with GitOps, and pipeline customization
- Experience with Cloud Enabled and Cloud native solutions and DevSecOps
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with decomposing application components and determining how to leverage various te chn ologies found with modern cloud services
- Experience with service-oriented architecture, web services, and Application Programming Interfaces
- Experience with taking disparate business problems and delivering the best te chn ology solutions for large scale applications
- Experience with Advanced Analytics, Data Science, including MI, ML, or RPA, Integration, API, Microservices, and User Experience
- Experience with applying Agile Methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
- AWS Professional-level Certification
