Job Title:

Anaplan Architect Lead

Job Description:

Blackstone is seeking to expand our Anaplan team. The Anaplan Architect will provide guidance, establish best practices, and manage Blackstone's fast-growing Anaplan ecosystem. The role covers all four segments (Real Estate, Private Equity, Credit, and Hedge Funds) as well as back-office operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the maturity of the Anaplan team and establish stronger governance and maintenance for an expanding Anaplan ecosystem
  • Provide direction and leadership in promoting and implementing best-practice solutions in Anaplan
  • Own end-to-end Anaplan architecture across all models and functions
  • Provide technical direction for large-scale Anaplan implementation for the firm
  • Leverage business process knowledge and expertise in Anaplan to drive improvements
  • Build and manage a team of Anaplanners in the US and India
  • Work with software engineers on data integrations with various systems
  • Ability to travel (up to 10%), generally to headquarters in NYC



Qualifications:

  • Have L1, L2, L3, and Master Anaplanner Certifications (Train the Trainer and The Anapan Way certifications a plus)
  • Previous experience of successfully implementing Anaplan solutions as an Anaplan Architect or Senior Model Builder
  • Prior experience in FP&A or Alternative Assets (Real Estate, Private Equity, Credit, Hedge Funds)
  • Possess a strong understanding of multi-dimensional modeling
  • Have expert level skills in Excel (or similar) modeling, formulas, macros, etc.
  • Have deep knowledge of Anaplan integrations and model actions
  • An ability to manage multiple workstreams and pivot when necessary
  • Understand Agile implementation methodology and the Anaplan Way
  • Are a self-starter with attention to detail in a self-managed environment
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills, in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Possess strong management and leadership skills
  • Are customer-centric and white glove service



Preferred Qualifications:

  • New UX in Anaplan
  • Working knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Python or similar programming languages
  • Software skills: Confluence, Jira, LucidCharts, Tableau
