Qualcomm Wireless Research, based in San Diego, California, is working on strategic projects for the development of new technologies related to 5G, C-V2X, WLAN, industrial-IoT, and XR. Individuals in this role will work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop software for small and large-scale prototype systems for R&D, industry trials and commercial products. Do you want to accelerate research of cutting-edge technology by providing automated solutions? In this role, you will work with the end-to-end system to design and implement automation frameworks, develop CI/CD models, contribute to existing tools across the company. Successful candidates will be creative, with an eye for solving complex open-ended problems. This position will expose you to Qualcomm's cutting edge SoC, HW platforms, as well as the 5G system specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 1+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
• 2+ years of experience with at least one programming language such as C, C++, Python, etc.
• Excellent ability in design, implementation and debugging complex software systems
• Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Advanced Python skills including object-oriented concepts
• Software design/architecture and knowledge of continues integration model
• Exposure to Linux environment, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, build system tools like Cmake and Ninja
• Knowledge of protocols such as 5G NR, LTE, WCDMA
• Knowledge of cloud computing, docker, virtualization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
