Automation Engineering is the team within Disney Streaming’s Technical Operations responsible for identifying, building and optimizing process and automation for Disney+, ESPN+, Star+, NHL and MLB.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Automation Engineer will develop and maintain applications and dashboards to support Media Operations efforts.
Responsibilities :
Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements and efficiencies
Automation of common tasks and procedures
Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
Basic Qualifications :

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Ability to debug and optimize code to automate routine tasks.
• Experience drawing insights from large data sets to drive technology decisions.
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
• Programming experience and expertise in Python and command line scripting
• Modifying and testing changes to previously developed programs
• Managing the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications
• Intermediate/advanced knowledge of the AWS services
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (React, JavaScript)
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
• Familiarity with Docker, Flask
