OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an Automated Test Engineer I to join our rapidly growing Innovation department.

As an Automated Test Engineer I, you will have the opportunity to proactively test and find new defects, while supporting the Application Developers in corrective actions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-3 years of software testing experience
  • 1+ years of automated test development using Python, JavaScript, or Java
  • UI automation testing experience with Selenium or Cypress
  • Automated test execution as a step in a continuous integration workflow (eg: Jenkins)
  • Knowledge on Git/Github and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with backend API automation testing and application issue tracking

This is a mid-level position; the ideal candidate is looking to continue their career in technology within the digital marketing industry. You are:

  • A strong communicator; someone who is comfortable liaising with all lines and levels of the
  • organization
  • A collaborator; someone who can work with application developers and product managers to improve product quality
  • Background in eCommerce or product-focused advertising

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As an Automated Test Engineer on our Engineering Enablement team, you will:

  • Own manual test preparation and execution
    • Write and execute manual test cases for UI and micro service (API) applications from requirements, design documents and specifications for testing
  • Find and report defects with detailed, accurate and concise steps to reproduce
  • Take part in automated test design and development
  • Analyze product features and identify test scenarios in collaboration with developers and product managers
  • Identifying regression test candidates for automation, planning automation activities across the team.
  • Develop automated integration tests using test automation guidelines
  • Peer review automated tests developed by other engineers
  • Maintain test execution in CI/CD Pipelines
  • Take part in automated test framework maintenance
    • ​Enhance reusable modules that can be used in automated tests
  • Take part in automated test execution analysis​
    • Run automated tests in Jenkins continuous integration system
    • Proactively analyze test results and follow up on test failures and log the bugs in Jira
    • Collaborate on improving automated test execution performance
  • Participate in Agile development projects
    • Agile project planning activities
    • Proactively identify tasks to own and provide regular updates
    • Estimating test case writing and execution effort and keeping track of own and team progress.
    • Work with development and product management to meet key project milestones
  • Assist the test manager with project test planning
