Assists in developing and validating requirements for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components. Assists in the development and validation of electromagnetic requirements for electrical\\electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures. Assists in developing architectures to integrate components into higher level systems and platforms. Performs trade studies, electromagnetic modeling, simulation (e.g. using HFSS, MicrowaveOffice, CST) and other forms of analysis to predict component, radiating antenna and interconnects performance and to optimize design around established requirements. Defines and conducts simple tests to validate performance of designs to requirements. Collects and analyzes data on supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements. Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by recommending engineering solutions to issues. Supports project management by preparing and presenting project status data. Writes simple sections of proposals to support development of new business. Works under general supervision.We are looking for an early career Electrophysics Engineer/Scientist for BR&T/Electronics Technology to work in the area of research and development of Radio Frequency (RF) solutions - The successful candidate will work on a portfolio of research and technology projects in Huntington Beach, California. In pursuit of Boeing's research interests, the successful candidate will work with others to develop, document, analyze, and test operational, functional, and environmental requirements of developed research systems. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide high impact, creative solutions to complex technical problems, the ability to work both independently and as part of a large team, and the ability to provide critical support and independent review of the work of teammates.This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.Position Responsibilities:

  • Innovating and developing cutting-edge Radio Frequency (RF) engineering solutions

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) or communication systems analysis
  • Experience with Radio Frequency systems

Typical Education / Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
