Wilder Systems is seeking a mechanical and/or electrical applications engineer to join the emerging leader in aerospace automation. We are a startup making robots that build airplanes (robotic drilling, defastening, and even a drive thru-style car wash for F-16's). As part of a small, fast moving team, you will be responsible for turning design requirements into viable products. Specific tasks include system design, detailed mechanical design and analysis, manufacturing drawing creation, procurement, and production support across all levels of the company.
Basic Qualifications

• Proficient use of CAD software, preferably Solidworks
• Knowledge of GD&T and Design for Manufacturing approach
• Strong familiarity with metals fabrication
• Broad knowledge of automation hardware (drive trains, actuators, guides, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and seek out the necessary resources to complete tasks
• Effective communication skills
• Detail Oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing robotic/automation systems
• Experience using PDM software and generating BOMs
• Experience communicating with customers and end users
• Experience managing vendors, defining scope and requirements
• Experience assembling precision components
• 1-3 years mechanical engineering experience
