Job Purpose:
As a member of the Finance Systems group, you will be responsible for leading the Payables Application domain. In this role, you will work with the business to understand their needs, broker and develop IT solutions to enable efficient systems and processes to meet the business objectives.
Lead the development, execution and governance of the Business Unit IT portfolio including new initiatives and daily IT operations and also a clear understanding of the business unit strategy and that IT roadmaps are aligned to enable Business Unit goals.
Description:
You will be involved in many stages of IT solutions, including implementation, support and retirement. You will build strong relationships with business partners and support partners. The Applications lead role for the payables is responsible for exceeding client expectations through superior implementation, delivery and management of technology products and solutions. Additional responsibilities are listed below:

  • Competent to perform all programming, development, and integration assignments without close supervision;
  • Works on more complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls;
  • Works independently on complex applications that may be used by one or more programs or systems;
  • Develops major system modules or programs based on requirements gathered from system customers;
  • Performs integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of system components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results;
  • Fully knowledgeable of the relevant programming languages, program design and specification development, programming logic, logic diagrams, system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and internal systems;
  • Performs integration tasks for in-house developed systems and/or purchased hardware and software solutions;
  • Assists customers with documentation, training and usability efforts;
  • Typically serves as a team member on one or more 6 Sigma projects;
  • Follows corporate standards, processes, controls


Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a relevant degree, technical certification or equivalent experience.
  • Five to eight years in systems development or support work
  • Experience with programming languages, COBOL, JCL, QUIKJOB
  • Experience with source control: Endeavor
  • Experience with debugging tools: Expediter
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong Customer Focus
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities coupled with risk management understanding


Top Candidates may also have :

  • Knowledge of databases: DB2, IMS DB
  • Knowledge of online transaction processing: IMS DC
  • Knowledge of payables systems
  • Knowledge of Project Management processes and tools
