Within Information Corporate & Cloud Technology (ICCT), IT4IT Service Management is responsible for managing the Service Management process within Robeco through the ServiceNow platform. This platform supports various processes widely used across Robeco, such as ITSM and Config processes.

Your primary responsibilities will include configuring ServiceNow to meet stakeholders' requirements, building custom applications, performing operational maintenance, and ensuring seamless integration with other IT service management platforms.

Position & Requirements

We are looking for a candidate for the position of "Senior ServiceNow Developer".

Your primary responsibilities starts by defining ServiceNow solutions and tailoring them to meet client requirements. Additionally, the role involves configuring the ServiceNow Platform based on leading practices to provide solutions that achieve customer outcomes. You will be part of a DevOps team that is also responsible for Operational Maintenance. This role requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, ITSM processes, CSDM principles, Integrations, IT service management best practices and Agile/ Scrum.

The Senior Developer should be able to act as a sparring partner for IT counterparts and stakeholders. Additionally, you are expected to have or develop a broad knowledge of ServiceNow, collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that Robeco and IT4IT Objectives are followed and achieved, and oversee and mitigate risks where necessary.

You should be capable of implementing changes and working with ServiceNow and the processes secured within the platform. You can establish yourself as a trusted partner for your team and stakeholders. You can deliver results and achieve objectives both autonomously and as part of a team. You are a strong team player.

We expect a proactive attitude and quick participation in the Robeco Change process. Social and communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are also essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Platform Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including its architecture, data model, and scripting capabilities
• Application Development: Design, develop, and implement custom applications on the ServiceNow platform to meet specific business needs.
• Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts, workflows, and orchestration to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of ServiceNow instances, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Integration: Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate ServiceNow with various IT service management frameworks and tools, ensuring data consistency and process alignment.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the ServiceNow platform, leveraging best practices and industry standards.
• Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the ServiceNow platform, including troubleshooting issues, performing upgrades, and implementing enhancements.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all development and administration activities, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity.
• Training and Documentation: Conduct training sessions for end-users and administrators, and develop comprehensive documentation for implemented solutions and processes.

Generic requirements:

• Profile HBO and/or WO
• Minimal 5 years working experience with ServiceNow as a developer
• Proficient in the Dutch as well as English language (written and spoken)
• Fulltime position (40 hours per week)

Technical Skills:

• ServiceNow Expertise: Minimal 5 years working experience in ServiceNow development, including custom application development, integrations, ITSM and configuration management.
• Programming Languages:
  • ServiceNow back-end development: Proficiency in JavaScript.
  • Portal development: UX experience, HTML, CSS and AngularJS.
• API Integration: Experience with REST APIs for integrating ServiceNow with external systems.
   

Soft Skills:

• Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

    • CSA – Certified System Administrator
    • CIS  – IT Service Management
    • Scripting in ServiceNow Fundamentals

• Desired:
  • CAD – Certified Application Developer
  • CAS – Performance Analytics
  • Service Portal Fundamentals
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • PSM1 - Scrum

• Experience: 5+ years hands-on experience in implementing and advising Service Management processes in ServiceNow.
• Agile - Scrum: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including practical experience in implementing these frameworks in IT projects
