We are currently seeking a Public Cloud Implementation Engineer that has experience with the Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms, specifically those capabilities that relate to delivering scalable environments supporting global application adoption from Operational & Security perspectives.

This role will establish the Central Cloud Enablement Teams' presence in Raleigh and will be involved in a wide range of activities supporting the adoption of these platforms by CS Application Development teams globally, through helping with technology evaluations, defining & implementing new solutions and extended capabilities based on these, to using automation to stand-up new environments that have these new capabilities integrated.

The maturing of foundational cloud capabilities will be owned by this role from the perspectives of full lifecycle responsibility, implementation, configuration, integration & evolution. Broader responsibilities will include supporting the technical engagement around specific implementation projects and working with our Public Cloud SRE team to deliver operationalized Services.

To be successful in this role an applicant should aspire to developing deep expertise in multiple cloud platforms in terms of services & functional capabilities, as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using these platforms, where automation & integration aspects are fundamental to successful enterprise adoption.

In your role as a technical player coach for automation related projects you should feel comfortable to educate lesser experienced colleagues and therefore establish automation & everything-as-code frameworks across the Public Cloud division of Credit Suisse.

Your skills and experience

You will be focused on cloud platform delivery so experience with Azure, and to a lesser extend AWS is key. Automation focused mindset, looking for an Engineer is accustomed to using code to solve their problems.

• 3+ years' proven experience in Azure or AWS Cloud Platform adoption.
• Detailed understanding on Cloud VM and Server technologies, including integrated operations of services across a hybrid-cloud environment.
• Experience of developing automated processes using well-known languages and frameworks such as PowerShell, CLI, Python, YAML, JSON, Puppet, Jenkins pipelines, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager Templates (ARM), CloudFormation.
• Understanding and experience of "Infrastructure as Code" implementations.
• Experience of defining requirements & implementing solutions that demonstrate enterprise-level understanding of operational and security standard methodology.
• Good understanding of networking in Cloud, including Vnet, VPC, route table, Security Groups and NSG. Also direct connect and express route including good understanding of DNS and DNS resolutions
• Understanding of identity access management in cloud as well as in active directory.
• Experience with Git and code repo like Bitbucket, Github as well as Jenkins CICD and Gitlab CICD.
• Exposure to running proof-of-concepts for server, storage, network, and security technologies in support of cloud adoption.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work efficiently across internal and external organizations. This includes leadership and presentation skills to act as technical player coach in the areas of automation.
• Demonstrable use of an analytic approach to solution-level design is highly desired.
• AWS or Azure certifications are highly desired.
• Results oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details.
