Test Development Engineer - Magnetic Sensors
The mission of the Magnetic Sensor (MAG) team within the Industrial & Healthcare organization is to develop highly innovative, differentiated and industry-leading magnetic sensing technology for our target markets. The novel and ground-breaking sensor products are defined and developed at ADI’s European Research and Development Centre leveraging proprietary processes in the Limerick Fab, meeting the emerging needs of our strategic customers.
To help us accelerate our ambitious goals in bringing these emerging technologies to commercial success, the MAG team is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic engineer to work as a Test Development Engineer on our magnetic sensing products.
Role Description
- The successful candidate will become an integral part of the product development team, assuming responsibility for the development of innovative, high performance, mass production ready hardware and software ATE solutions for our leading-edge product portfolio of xMR based Multiturn, Position & Length Sensors offerings.
- Required Skills / Experience
- ·BS or MS degree in EE or ECE. Typically requires a minimum of 3+ years’ experience.
- ATE program development skills (NI or Teradyne an advantage).
- Knowledge of mixed signal PCB design.
- The ideal candidate should possess a solid practical knowledge of both analogue and digital electronics and demonstrate initiative in identifying and resolving technical problems within a team environment.
- Demonstrated analytical, debug, data analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills are essential coupled with demonstrated ability to work at a high level of performance both independently and as part of a multi-discipline development team
- Candidates with equivalent experience in mixed signal design (hardware & software) will also be considered.
Main Responsibilities
- Design of innovative, reliable and efficient Probe and Test solutions on high performance mixed-signal ATE platforms, for multisite parallel testing of a range of magnetic sensing products and their associated ASIC.
- Drive DFT/BIST definition & development to reduce FFC and improve testability.
- Pre tapeout verification of test solutions using Design Simulation tools.
- Execution of the Test development phase including Silicon functionality, Characterization, Yield Analysis, Offshore Production release.
- Interface with a broad range of groups such as Design, Eval, Apps, Assembly, Reliability & FA, Manufacturing, etc.
- Development of innovative next generation ATE based hardware and software techniques and magnetic test solutions.
