Job Description:

Analog Devices Inc. (ADI), Platform Engineering team is seeking an enthusiastic and versatile software engineer with a passion for building innovative, high-quality infrastructure and processes that help our customers reduce time-to-market. You will work at the intersection of DevOps, hardware, and software, contributing to platform integration projects and embedded systems automation while being mentored by senior engineers as you grow your technical expertise. The Platform Engineering team works across the organization to provide tools and infrastructure to streamline the development, release, and deployment of software, as well as improve the developer experience by providing capabilities to increase developer productivity and reduce development overhead.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field. Additionally, they will have demonstrated:

  • Hands‑on exposure to scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, and Shell/Bash, along with familiarity with development tools like Visual Studio Code
  • Practical experience in DevOps environments, including CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions and Workflows, Azure Pipeline, Jenkins), containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), and exposure to cloud platforms.
  • Working knowledge of embedded systems, including build tools such as Make and CMake, cross-compilation concepts, and software development across multiple operating systems. Linux is essential; experience with Windows, Yocto, and macOS is a plus.
  • A good understanding of software quality practices and an interest in process improvement,
  • Team collaboration skills with the ability to work independently in a supportive environment.
  • But most importantly, enthusiasm, collaboration, and a solid work ethic are valued more than any skill!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop tools, infrastructure, and systems that enhance software development processes at ADI.
  • Contribute to the automation for validating embedded systems and applications.
  • Enhance the developer experience by promoting efficient workflows, tooling, and best practices. Partner with teams to support the adoption and consistent application of those.
  • Assist development teams with CI/CD pipelines, security scanning, automation initiatives, and the packaging of binaries for production use.
  • Create proofs of concept (PoCs) and documentation to support tools, workflows, and solutions.
  • Provide technical support to both internal teams and external customers.
  • Work to meet clearly defined schedules as part of a distributed, global team.
