We are seeking a skilled and autonomous Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team for a long-term freelance collaboration. In this role, you will manage, troubleshoot, and optimize our core infrastructure, ensuring high availability, robust security compliance, and seamless operational continuity.
Role Details- Position: Systems & Infrastructure Engineer (Freelance / Contract)
- Time Commitment: ~100 hours per month (Flexible schedule / Part-time)
- Experience Required: Minimum 4 years of proven experience in similar roles
- Compensation: $40 - $55 USD / hour (Depending on experience)
- Location: Internationale Parkway, Woodridge, IL
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Requirements
- Virtualization: Solid experience managing and configuring virtualized environments.
- Windows Ecosystem: Strong expertise in Windows Operating Systems for both workstations and servers.
- ITSM Tools: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (specifically handling incident, change, and request management).
- Directory & Patch Management: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft WSUS.
- Networking & Security: Proven experience in the administration and troubleshooting of networks and firewalls.
- Data Transfer: Familiarity with professional file transfer software and secure data systems.
- Vulnerability Management: Practical awareness and experience in vulnerability identification, management, and remediation.
- Experience working with the Closed Loop Framework and its associated compliance requirements.
- Background or familiarity with infrastructure support within manufacturing or production operations environments.
