Engineer SAP SD
Job Introduction:
As an Inhouse Consultant SAP SD, you are responsible for the implementation, optimization, and continuous development of SAP Sales & Distribution solutions across the company. You act as a key interface between IT and business, ensuring stable operations while proactively driving innovation, automation, and process improvements within the Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
Major Responsibilities:
SAP SD & System Ownership
- Inhouse consulting and support for SAP SD module, including cross-module integration with MM, FI, PP, and logistics processes
- Customizing, optimization, and enhancement of SAP SD processes end-to-end (master data, pricing, order management, delivery, billing)
- Point of contact for SD-related system questions, incident resolution, and continuous improvements
- Support of EDI processes (order, delivery, invoice messages) and collaboration with integration teams
Authorizations & SAP Basis Collaboration
- Design, implementation, and maintenance of audit-compliant authorization concepts in the SD environment
- Support and coordination of authorization reviews, audits, and compliance requirements
- Close collaboration with SAP Basis teams on system stability, transports, upgrades, and security topics
SAP FIORI & Innovation
- Introduction, configuration, and continuous improvement of SAP FIORI apps related to SD/O2C
- Evaluation of new SAP technologies, digital tools, and market trends
- Proactive introduction of best-practice solutions to improve usability, transparency, and process efficiency
Business Process Optimization & Automation
- Design and optimization of order-to-cash workflows and automated business processes
- Improvement of end-to-end system landscapes and integrations impacting SD
- Translation of business requirements into functional and technical specifications
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Active participation or lead role in SAP, IT, and business projects
- Coordination with internal departments (Sales, Logistics, Finance), external service providers, and technology partners
- Support business units in identifying optimization opportunities and building business cases
Educational Qualifications:
Completed degree in IT, engineering, business, or equivalent qualification.
Work experience:
3 to 5 years of professional experience in SAP SD or related IT/logistics roles.
Skills & competencies:
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into IT solutions
- High level of initiative and willingness to drive improvements proactively
- Team-oriented mindset and openness to collaboration in a global setup
- Very good English skills (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel for business purposes
